Ingersoll Tavern
The house sat on the corner of a quiet neighborhood along a road that was only busy when the nearby school was in session. It grew still as evening approached.
Beneath the upper floor's smoke stains, the wood planks were peeling a dusty tan paint which didn't seem quite right. It was as if a lighter shade had been applied over a much darker one underneath, and that darker hue still wanted to bleed through.
This neighborhood was encased in Witch Trials history. The former tavern was the initial location used for questioning the afflicted girls and the unfortunate victims they accused of witchcraft. But when the crowd of onlookers grew too unwieldy, a bigger space was required. The interrogations moved down the road to the Salem Village Puritan Meeting House....
The whole place seemed cursed.
